Taking innovation to space

Eoptic is a bespoke service provider in the optics & metrology industry (specialized cameras and optical systems), providing services to major enterprises. They are a team of highly experienced, confident engineers producing solutions that (literally) work in space.

Eoptic is the parent company of one of our clients, Alltonomous. They contacted us after admiring the branding, website and marketing material we had created. In our first meeting, they mentioned hearing at an event that Alltonomous "looked bigger than they are" thanks to the design and wanted us to work with them too.

Finding a unique voice to represent Eoptic’s strength

The Eoptic team were looking for a new website because the existing one didn’t do justice to their strong technical and business background. When we talked to them in detail over a discovery call, we found that they were facing a few problems:

  1. The overall branding didn’t represent their strong background
  2. They weren’t standing out because there wasn’t a set brand & messaging direction
  3. They operate in a highly specialized and niche industry, where finding and retaining top talent is crucial and challenging

Building a brand as strong as the team

First step: rapid onboarding

We onboarded Eoptic the same week, and started our branding process with an interview of the team, where we got to learn a lot about their strengths, background, market, preferences and vision.

Second step: branding

The main challenge we had to solve for a successful branding was to build one that would live up to the team’s strong background and values.

We recommended a direction and priorities for their brand and devised a brand strategy that would position them as a leader in the optics & metrology space, bring the team’s vision to life, and help gain a competitive edge.

We started with 3 moodboards, representing different brand directions. Once a direction was chosen, we designed and pitched 2 completely different brand design options based on the selected direction.

These were well received. After the application of minor feedback to the selected direction, we were ready to move forward to the website design phase.

Final step: website

The Eoptic team did an amazing job on preparing the content. Working with them was amazing because of how open and respectful they were to new ideas and innovation. We designed the website’s homepage first and pitched to the team.

It was very well received so we moved on to designing the rest. Our process was to design the website based on given content, get feedback and apply it. Because the content was being prepared in parallel, we were also updating the design to suit new content.

An unexpected challenge

By mid project, we were faced with a shortening of the deadline because of a few external factors. Now it was a race against time - we had to complete the design, iterate it to perfection and then develop it to get it ready within the short time frame. Our team did an amazing job and delivered the final, working website by the deadline.

Within just two weeks after the new, rebranded website went live, the Eoptic team noticed an impressive +50% increase in the organic leads coming in through the website and better lead quality.
